Storm Team Meteorologist Jonathan Cubit visited students at Franklin Elementary School in Stratford Wednesday.
Jonathan spoke to two fourth grade classes.
He discussed the weather and students got to give their own weather forecasts.
Students recently completed a weather unit and learned about extreme weather including tornadoes, blizzards and hurricanes.
"It's so important for students to know what the weather is happening around them. When they get up in the morning, what should they wear, are we able to go for indoor or outdoor recess. That's a big question for them," says Janine Lizotte, fourth grader teacher.
Lizotte says students were excited for Jonathan to visit and to learn about different job opportunities relating to meteorology.
