The Stratford Board of Education will work to assist and be accountable for the students and staff of the Stratford Public Schools, their safety, their opportunities and their success.  The Board will work together, and with others, in an effective and efficient manner to produce positive outcomes for all. 

•  The Stratford Board of Education will improve communication and expand community engagement and relations. 

  • To do this, we will:

    • Host Community Forums

    • Reinstate a Communication Committee

    • Reinforce and follow Board communication protocol

• The Stratford Board of Education will work to develop a stronger and deeper level of fiscal health to meet the needs of our students and the broader community of supporting taxpayers. 

  • To do this, we will: 

    • Assure clarity and transparency in the budget development process

    • Utilize data driven decisions to search for efficiencies while striving to improve the quality of the educational program

    • Welcome stakeholder input

• The Stratford Board of Education will develop and maintain up-to-date policies to ensure the safety, security, and academic success of all members of our district. 

  • To do this, we will: 

    • Review contextually relevant policy on a regular basis

    • Revise policy annually
